Escape The Ordinary (ETO)

1. Overview
At Escape The Ordinary, we curate customized travel experiences designed around each group’s unique preferences. Due to the tailored nature of our services, refund eligibility depends on the stage of booking, supplier commitments, and timelines involved.
This Refund Policy outlines how cancellations, changes, and refunds are handled.
2. Booking Confirmation & Deposits
A booking is considered confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received.
Deposits may be non-refundable, as they are used to secure accommodations, experiences, and third-party services.
Any applicable refund terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
3. Cancellations by You
If you need to cancel your booking, the following general terms apply:
More than 60 days before departure:
Partial refund may be available, excluding non-refundable deposits and any third-party costs already incurred.30–60 days before departure:
Limited refund may be available depending on supplier policies and confirmed bookings.Less than 30 days before departure:
Refunds are typically not available due to commitments made on your behalf.
Each cancellation is assessed individually, and we will always aim to recover as much value as possible where feasible.
4. Custom Experiences & Third-Party Services
Escape The Ordinary works with a range of third-party providers (e.g. hotels, transport, excursions).
Refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of these providers.
In many cases, these bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
We will communicate any strict cancellation terms before final confirmation.
5. Changes to Bookings
If you wish to make changes to your itinerary:
We will do our best to accommodate changes where possible.
Additional costs may apply depending on availability and supplier fees.
Changes close to the departure date may be limited or not possible.
6. Cancellations by Escape The Ordinary
In rare cases where we must cancel a booking (e.g. unforeseen circumstances, supplier issues, or safety concerns):
You will be offered:
A full refund, or
An alternative experience of equal value
We are not liable for additional costs incurred outside of the original booking (e.g. flights booked independently).
7. Force Majeure
Escape The Ordinary is not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Political instability
Pandemics or health emergencies
Travel restrictions
In such cases, refunds will depend on what can be recovered from third-party providers.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days
Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed
9. Travel Insurance (Strongly Recommended)
We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
Trip cancellations
Medical emergencies
Travel disruptions
This provides protection in situations where refunds may not be possible.
